The Jošt House is a restaurant and mountain hut on top of Mount St. Jošt. It offers a combination of great food and incredible views. It is also a popular excursion spot for residents of the city of Kranj. The peak lies at an altitude of 845 meters above sea level. For many, it is a hiking destination that provides a great opportunity for some exercise after work. At the top, visitors are rewarded with a view of a large part of Upper Carniola (Gorenjska).
We often come here for lunch or a drink while enjoying the fantastic view.
History
The church next to the Jošt House dates back to 973, but it has been rebuilt and extended on several occasions. The present church dates from the 18th century. The Jošt House was built by the Triglav Ski Club from Kranj in the 1950s.
